We recently installed the artwork selected for a new display home by Broadway Homes in Balcatta. In this blog, we will explain the process from selection to framing, delivery, and installation.

Selection Process

This part of the process can be completed either in person or via email, depending on what is more convenient for the designer. For this project, the interior designer came to the office so we could sit down together and review the house plans room by room. The designer had a clear vision in mind, and I had already selected several artworks from our catalogue that I thought would fit the brief. We went through each room, determining sizes, selecting the best artworks, and coordinating the framing to complement the decor.

Quoting and ordering

I will then spend the next day or so working on the pricing of each item selected. I do up a formal quote, and this is sent through to the designer for approval. Once approved by the builder, I get to ordering all of the prints and or canvases, mirrors and mouldings for the framing.

Framing

When we have received all of the prints and canvases, they are all passed on to our framer with clear instructions on which frames to use and the size every item should be. Time and care are taken to produce high quality peices framed with care for the clients.

Delivery and Installation

The interior designer will have a day set aside for art installation, and we organise this through our installation partners at HangArt. The artwork is collected and handled professionally in order to transport it without damaging it. The installer then works with the interior designer to get the correct heights and placement of each piece for each room. Everything is installed with security hangers to make sure they are secure on the walls and can’t be knocked off or stolen.

End Result

Once the artwork is hanging in the display home,e all of the designer’s hard work can be seen – the vision comes to life, and the handover with the builder can go ahead.
